What is Sea tangle

Sea tangle or Kombu(scientific name:Saccharina japonica) is a generic name for a biennial brown alga in the family Laminariaceae native to Russia, Japan and Korea. It is a biennial plant of the kelp family, the kelp family, and is a generic term for brown algae. It grows naturally on shallow sea reefs at depths of less than 10 m. It is 1 to 5 m long and has a length of 1 to 5 m. They are 1 to 5 m long, 5 to 15 cm wide and 0.5 cm thick. When they are alive, they have a reddish-brown coloration, but when heated, they turn a bright green color. Since it is a brown alga, it does not flower and has spores. The fishing season is from summer to autumn. It is used for soup stock for Japanese dishes, kelp rolls, salted kelp and tsukudani. In Japan, it's found predominantly in Hokkaido, but can also be found in Aomori and Miyagi prefectures.
