Cryptogramma crispa

Cryptogramma crispa or Rishiri Shinobu (scientific name: Cryptogramma crispa) is a deciduous, summergreen fern that grows naturally in high mountains in Hokkaido and other regions in Japan. It produces two types of leaves: vegetative leaves and sporophytic leaves (fruiting leaves). Ministry of the Environment Category: Designated as quasi-threatened (NT).
