Tibouchina urvilleana or commonly called as Brazilian Spider Flower (Scientific Name: Tibouchina urvilleana) is native to Brazil and is an evergreen shrub of the genus Sibonobotan of the Novothaneaceae. In the summer ~ autumn, a violet flower of purple big fashioned with a shiny Japanese style blooms. Stamens are purple in both short and long. The English name is called "Brazilian Spider Flower" because its origin is Brazil, stamens and anthers (attached to the tip of the stamens) look like spider legs.
