It is a cross between the Japanese apricot (Ume, scientific name: Japanese apricot) and the purple-leaved plum (Cherry plum, scientific name: Prunus cerasifera). The flowers are pink and double, and the branches and leaves are coppery. The flowers are fragrant. It is a flowering plum tree to be admired for its flowers. Use: Roadside tree.
