What is Sherardia

Sherardia (scientific name: Sherardia arvensis) is a Mediterranean grassland-southeast-east Asian native, and is a first-grade wildflower of the Rubiaceae genus Sherardia. This one species constitutes one genus (one genus), and only one species (one species). It is naturalized not only in Japan but all over the world. The stem crawls the ground and rises to about 40 cm. The cross section of the stem is square, and six bristle leaves are produced. There is no petiophyte. From spring to summer, the inflorescence extends from the axiles and pink florets bloom. The flower is split into four in a long tube. It is a hermaphrodonic strain, a fly-borne insect-borne flower.
