What is Tricyrtis affinis

Tricyrtis affinis (Scientific name: Tricyrtis affinis) is a perennial plant in the family Liliaceae that is endemic to Japan.
It grows wild in the forests of mountains and fields from Hokkaido to Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. One to three flowers on the upper leaf sides in late summer to fall. The crowns consist of three slightly wider outer and three inner crowns, six stamens and one stamen. The flowers are white, dotted with purple spots, with no yellow spots at the base and no warped petals. The hairs on the stems of the mountain road Tricyrtis (T. affinis) grow diagonally downward, but the hairs on the stems of Japanese toad-lily (Tricyrtis hirta) grow diagonally upward. This genus includes Tricyrtis hirta, Mountain Photoglyphs (Tricyrtis macropoda), Setouchi Photoglyphs (Tricyrtis setouchiensis ), Taiwan Photoglyphs (Tricyrtis formosana), Tricyrtis flava, and Tricyrtis fmacrantha.
