What is Water Jasmine

Water Jasmine(scientific name: Wrightia rerigiosa) is a deciduous shrub of the family Apocynaceae, native to Thailand-Vietnam. The leaves are sharp and pointed. A long flower pattern is stretched from the leaf bud and white flowers are drooped. The flower has a cylindrical shape and the tip splits 5 times. The flowers have jasmine intent. Locally, it is planted in temples as an auspicious plant, and is used in topiaries because it is resistant to cutting. Because it has a good fragrance, it is used for garden trees and bonsai as an incense tree. The leaves become a blue dye.
