Wind Poppy, scientific name: Stylomecon heterophyllum, is an annual wild poppy of the Stylomecon genus, Papaveraceae family native to North America of California and Orthern western Mexico.
One herb is composed of one species. It is also called the scientific name Stilomecon heterofilm. The plants are up to 60 cm tall and the leaves are deep-winged. From spring to early summer, orange flowers about 2 cm in diameter bloom at the end of thin flower stems.
It is similar to the same wild poppy, dubium (scientific name: Papaver dubium).
