Shirouma Asatsuki

Shirouma Asotsuki (scientific name: Allium schoenoprasum var. orientale) is native to Japan and is an alpine perennial herb in the family Amaryllidaceae. It grows naturally on gravel areas in the alpine area north of central Japan in Hokkaido and Honshu. In summer, globular red-purple flowers bloom at the tip of a thin hollow flower stalk. The length of the stamen and the tepal are the same. Asotsuki i, which is very similar, does not protrude from the tepal.
