Cranberry

Cranberry (scientific name: Vaccinium macrocarpon) is an evergreen shrub and its fruit in the family Ericaceae. It is a generic name for V. oxycoccos, V. microcarpum, V. macrocarpon, etc., but in North America, mainly refers to the V. macrocarpon. It grows in acidic wetlands in the cold regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
In summer, the inflorescence is extended and several white to pink flowers bloom.
There are four petals, which are greatly warped outwards like Dogtooth violet(Erythronium japonicum) and a href = "https://www.flower-db.com/en/flower:513"> yclamen(Cyclamen persicum).
Small spherical fruit after the flower. Fruits can be eaten, but are sour and processed into jams and juices. In Europe and the United States, we eat with turkeys at Christmas.
