What is Stellaria nipponica

Stellaria nipponica , or iwatsumekusa (scientific name: Stellaria nipponica) is an endemic species of Japan, and is an alpine perennial plant in the family Caryophyllaceae.
It grows native to the alpine gravel in the Chubu region. Due to the harsh environment, the plant height is low, it branches well and spreads like a carpet.
The leaves are green, linear and opposite.
From summer to early autumn, the flower stalks are stretched, and 1 to 8 five-flowered white flowers bloom at the tips.
It looks like 10 petals because the petals split 2 deeply.
Similar to Circumpolar starwort(scientific name: Stellaraia ruscifolia) but with different leaves.
