What is Marguerite Furenka

Marguerite Furenka (scientific name: Argyranthemum frutescens 'Furenka') is a much talked about margaret, "the world's first fragrant margaret". It is a cross between {{Sunday Ripple}} and {{Hanawagiku}}. There are vacuoles on the underside of the petals and the fragrance is similar to that of lavender. The flowers are a pale peach color at the beginning of bloom and become pure white as they progress. The flowers are large, 5 cm in diameter and bright and beautiful. The flowering season is long and hardy. Since there is no pollen, it can be enjoyed as a bouquet or pressed flower.
