Utricularia livida (scientific name: Utricularia livida) is a semi-cold-tolerant perennial small insectivorous plant of the family Lentibulariaceae, native to South Africa and Mexico. It is a member of the Utricularia bifida family and grows on the ground. It has a small translucent insect repellent sac in the ground and feeds on plankton and microorganisms in the ground. It's very sturdy and is sold in the market. The flowers are white with a few small, pale purple, multi-colored flowers. In the same genus is Utricularia longifolia (scientific name: Utricularia longifolia).
