Guzmania magnifica

Guzmania magnifica (scientific name: Guzmania magnifica) is a non-cold-hardy evergreen succulent epiphytic perennial in the genus Guzmania of the pineapple family Bromeliaceae, native to the tropical rain forests of Central and South America. It is a medium-sized variety of guzmania and is used as an indoor ornamental plant. What looks like flowers are bracts (flower bracts), which are modified leaves. The bract color is red. The actual flowers are small, tubular, white flowers that bloom between the bracts. The leaves are rosette-shaped, soft, and have no serrated spines around them. The flower name is derived from the Spanish scholarly name "Guzman". It is a member of the pineapple family, but does not produce fruit. It can be propagated by division or seedling.
