What is Oryukyu

Oryukyu (scientific name: Rhododendron x mucronatum 'Oryukyu') is a horticultural variety of 'Rhododendron mucronatum' which is an evergreen shrub in the family Ericaceae and is a hybrid of Rhododendron ripense and R. macrosepalum. Oryukyu has larger flowers than Mucronatum. The petals are funnel-shaped with five deep lobes at the tips and dark pink spots on the upper petals.
