Pourthiaea villosa

Pourthiaea villosa (scientific name: Pourthiaea villosa) is a small deciduous tree of the genus Kamatsuka in the family Rosaceae, in Japan, Korea and China g compilation. It grows naturally at the edges of sunny forests from Hokkaido to Kyushu. In spring, it produces about 20 small white five-petaled flowers that grow in inflorescences. The red fruits that appear in autumn are not very tasty. The leaves turn yellow in autumn. The Japanese name is derived from the fact that the wood is strong and is used for sickle handles.
