Primula rosea or Himalayan meadow primrose (scientific name: Primula rosea) is native to the Himalayas and is a member of the primrose family. It is an alpine, cold-tolerant perennial of the genus Primula. It produces long elliptic to lanceolate rhizome stems that grow from rhizomatous leaves up to 10 cm tall, with umbel inflorescences in winter. It has several pink flowers. The flowers are cylindrical, with five lobes and a heart-shaped slit at the tip. The base of the flower is yellow. There are 5 stamens among the petals.
