What is Dutchman's pipe

Dutchman's pipe (Monotropa hypopithys) is a perennial grass of the Monotropa genus of the Ericaceae family native to the temperate region of the Northern Hemisphere. The plant height is low. It is a plant feels like brownish red ginseng (gin dragon). It grows naturally in the shade of forests and hillsides. It is a rotten plant (mycorrhizal plants) that grows as a noumeume with an appearance that it looks like mushrooming with mushrooms. In the summer, extend the racemph of the stem from the tip of the stem and attach several bell-shaped corollas downwards. Flower name was given because its appearance is similar to monk and a staff (handshake with ring) held by the examiner. As you bloom, flowers will gradually turn upward. By the time you put the fruit it will be straightened and the fruits will stand up as you stand up. Normal plants have chlorophyll and use them to produce nutrients themselves and live. For that garden, decay plants like this species do not have chlorophyll and can not produce nutrition by themselves. Therefore, we live by absorbing the rest of the nutrients of the dead leaves which mycelial roots near the root surface decompose. Also, because there is no chlorophyll in the whole grass, it is light brown.
