Amana erythronioides

Amana erythronioides (Scientific nama: Amana erythronioides) is a perennial wild herb of the genus Amana in the family Liliaceae, native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and China. In Japan, it grows in sunny grasslands and on the forest floor in the Kanto, Kinki, and Shikoku regions. There are round scales underground. It has two linear leaves and three bracteoles.It is similar to Amana (scientific name: Amana edulis), but the leaves are shorter and wider than those of Amana (A. edulis), with a white band in the center of the leaf. It produces a single white flower at the tip of the flower stalk in spring. The flower consists of three outer and three inner segments with a reddish purple streak on the outer side of the segments.
