Frost aster (scientific name:Aster hybrids) is a cultivar of the perennial "Aster" belonging to the Asteraceae family native to North America. It was made by crossbreeding Shirokujaku and Yuzengiku. It branches well from flower stem base, and many small flowers bloom. Flower color has white, peach color, light purple color, purple, red. The origin of the flower name is that a branch with many florets resembles a peacock spreading a wing. The Latin genus name "Aster" means "aster (star)", species species "hybrids" means "hybrids".
