What is Gudiolus

Gladiolus (Scientific name: Gladiolus spp.) is native to tropical Africa and the Mediterranean coast, and is a bulb plant of the Iridaceae Gladiolus. In the summer, big flowers will bloom in a vertically long line from the tip of the flower stalk which grew smoothly. The leaves are green, slender and tipped. Because the Dutch introduced it to Japan, the Netherlands iris, since it came in from foreign countries, it is Toshoobu (Tang iris), Sword Lily (sword lily) because the leaf shape resembles a sword, a small sword with leaves Because it is a form, there is an alias called Latin gladius (Gradius = small sword). The feeling of flower is similar to Canna of another department .
