Geum japonicum, Asian herb bennet or Daikonso (scientific name: Geum japonicum) is a perennial grass of the genus Geum in the family Rosaceae, native to Japan and China. It grows naturally in mountainous areas and along roadsides throughout Japan. The branches are branched into many branches at the top. The rhizomatous leaves are pinnately compound and resemble those of the radish. The leaves on the stems are three-lobed or single. In summer, it produces sparse small yellow flowers at the tips of its branches. The pistil heads are bent in an S-shape.
