Abutilon theophrasti

Abutilon theophrasti, Indian mallow or Ichibi (scientific name: Abutilon theophrasti) is an annual or shrubby herb in the family Malvaceae, native to India. It is a naturalized plant that grows wild in fields, roadsides and wastelands. It produces yellow bell-shaped flowers in summer in apical or small conglomerate inflorescences. The five petals are congruent at the base. The stem bark used to be used for weaving in the past, but it is no longer used.
