Schefflera arboricola , commonly called as Schefflera , or Umbrella tree (scientific name: Schefflera arboricola) is a semi-cold tolerant evergreen shrub of the family Araliaceae from China, Taiwan and Australia. Often used as a houseplant. The leaves are in the shape of a palm-shaped compound leaf consisting of 7 - 9 leaflets. The leaflets are green and the leaf edges are all edges. The leaflets are rounded oval, with a cortical luster, are relatively thick, and the leaves stick together. Flowers rarely bloom. When blooming, many light green florets bloom in the conical inflorescence. After flowering, yellow and red fruits are formed. It likes sunlight, but it is also strong in the shade and is appreciated all year round.
