Iris orientalis (scientific name: Iris orientalis) is a perennial plant in the family Iridaceae native to Turkey and Greece. It is also called the scientific name Iris orientalis. Iris ochroleuca is a synonym. The leaves are sword-shaped and rhizomatous. It has six flower coverlets, three outer and three inner ones. The outer flower cover is large, wide and hanging down. Inner flower cover is small and standing upright. The outer flower cover is white, blue or blue-violet with yellow spots or stains. The leaves are used in flower arrangements.
