What is Gomphrena globosa

Gomphrena globosa or Kibana sen-nichiko (scientific name: Gomphrena haageana) is native to tropical America, and is a gardening seed of cold-resistant annual herbs of the family Amaranthaceae. A cute round head flower like a bonbon will bloom on a thin branchhead. The flowers are bright orange yellow or orange red. There are leaf bracts under the flower, leaves are thin. It is planted in cut flowers, potted plants, flower beds. It will be used as a dry flower as it will not fade even after drying. In addition to this varieties, there is Gomphrena globosa (Sennichiko, scientific name:Gomphrena globosa) as a gardening species. Both are similar in content, but globe amaranth is slightly smaller, flower color is peach, white, purple red, leaves are thick.
