Red flowers in bloom in October
In September, there were more than 100 species of red flowers in bloom, but in October, the number has slightly decreased to 93 species. In October, flowers of the Asteraceae family began to bloom. There are many kinds of flowers such as Chrysanthemum morifolium 'zarugiku' (scientific name: Chrysanthemum morifolium 'zarugiku') and Chrysanthemum flickerii (scientific name: C. m. cv. flickii). Flowers that bloom all year round (some are bracts) include Ixora duffii, Anthurium (Anthurium andreanum), and Calla (Zantedeschina Hybrids). The rarer species are Pitcairnia corallina, and Amiema scanden bloom all year round.
