What is Camellia 'Fuiri Sangokaku'

What is Camellia 'Fuiri Sangokaku'
Camellia 'Fuiri Sangokaku'(scientific name: Camellia japonica cv. Fuiri Sangokaku) blooms relatively early (January) among the medium-large flowered species and the flowering period is relatively long. It is characterized by dark green leaves that are somewhat long and broad, and the tree grows slightly spreading. The flowers are trumpet-shaped and medium-large, but the elongated shape and the crimson with white petals are more characteristic than the size. The flowers in the photo are quite wide after opening, but they do not bend outward this much at the beginning of blooming. This is a relatively new variety from Izu Oshima, registered in 1985.
