What is Twinspur

Diascia barberae or Twinspur (scientific name: Diascia barberae) is a mountainous region of South Africa Cape region, hardy evergreen annual plants of the family Scrophulariaceae. About 70 kinds inhabit in Africa. Since the shape of the flower is a lip shape and there are two spurs on the back side of lower lip, the alias is also called 'Nikaku sou' (It's meas winspur in Japanese) or winspur in English. In the long term of late spring to late autumn, it makes alot of flowers bloom due to strong growth and strong shade. Origin of the flower name is in Greek, Dis: Two, Ascus: bag and it is due to the fact that there are two spurs in the flower. The flower language is "Please forgive me." Is the origin of the flower language similar to the figure of a person who is asking for forgiveness so that two spurs from the back of the petal are raised with their hands raised? Diascia barberae (D. barberae) is an annual grass, and D. moltenensis and D. rigescens are perennials. Diascia ' Diamonte coralrose ' is a semi-cold-resistant perennial plant that makes deep-pink flowers bloom.
