What is Caper spurge

Caper spurge (Euphorbia lathyris) is a biennial plant and wildflower native to southern Europe to China, belonging to the genus Euphorbia in the spurge family. It is also known as gopher spurge.
It grows wild in semi-shaded to sunny locations such as wastelands and rubble sites.

It grows upright to 30-150 cm tall with hollow stems.
Leaves are bluish-green, lanceolate, 5-15 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide, and arranged in opposite pairs. Each leaf has a single pale vein.
It is monoecious. From May to July, it produces elongated corymbs bearing elliptical flowers. Each flower is green, approximately 0.4 cm in diameter, and has 4 to 6 ray florets. Pollination is insect-mediated.
The fruit is a spherical capsule about 1.5 cm in diameter. Each capsule contains three seeds.
Seeds are initially green, turning brown when ripe.
The entire plant is toxic; its white milky sap causes skin irritation when cut.
