What is Chinese syringa
Chinese syringa (Fornathia viridissima) is a deciduous shrub of the genus Forsythia viridissima that is native to China.
The branches stand upright and the flowers and leaves open at the same time. The leaves are opposite to each other, and there are saw blades only at the upper edge of the leaves. A yellow four-petal flower blooms in early spring. The flower pieces are elongated and the flower color is pale yellow.
There are several types of Forsythia, and the representative varieties include F. viridissima and < i class = "linkify icon"> Korean forsythia (Forsythia ovata) , Forsythia suspensa
The Korean Rengo (F. ovata) blossoms directly from the branches before the leaves come out (the leaves come out after the flowers), the flower pieces of the corolla are dark yellow and short, and there are serrations throughout the leaf edges. F. suspensa leaves leaves after flowering.
The fruits of autumn contain rutin and are used in folk remedies such as anti-inflammatory, diuretic and detoxification.
