What is Paphiopedilum 'spicerianum'

Paphiopedilum sangii (scientific name: Paphiopedilum sangii) is an Indonesian endemic, epiphytic evergreen perennial herb in the genus Paphiopedilum of the orchid family. It was introduced relatively recently, in 1987.

The rhizomatous leaves are oblong-oval in shape with dark green spots on a light green background.
The slender reddish-brown stems that emerge from between the leaves have numerous hairs and bear attractive and odd single flowers at their tips.
