Tricyrtis macrantha

Tricyrtis macrantha, Jourow hototogisu or Tosa jourow hototogisu (Scientific name: Tricyrtis macrantha) is an endemic species of Kochi prefecture, and is a cold-resistant perennial of the family Liliaceae. It grows naturally in Shikoku to Kyushu. One or two bell - shaped flowers are bloomed in the axil. Flower color has yellow on the outside and many reddish purple spots on the inside. It buds upward, however it gradually tilts downwards and blooms. Female flowers and male flowers do not protrude from the cylinder. The flower language is "I want to hear your voice."
In a similar flower, there are flowers blooming from August to October and distributed in the Kii Peninsula (Kii Jourow hototogisu, scientific name: Tricyrtis macranthopsis). T. macranthopsis has shiny leaves and is distinguished from leaves.
