Verbena tenera

Verbena tenera or Hime Bijozakura (scientific name: Verbena tenera) is a semi-cold-tolerant perennial horticultural variety of 'Verbena' which is a member of the family Verbenaceae and a semi-cold hardy annual herb. The stems are creeping and woody, sprouting many roots from the nodes that creep across the ground. From spring to autumn, it produces many small flowers with an inflorescence that grows from the flower stalk. The flowers are cylindrical with a 5-depth fissure at the tip and two lobes at the tip of the petals, which open flat. The typical color of the flower is blue, but there are many colors such as pink, red and white.
