What is Styrax obassia

Hakuunboku (scientific name: Styrax obassia) is native to Japan and China and is a deciduous tree of the family Styracaceae. In Japan, during the consecutive holidays in May, the 15 to 20 number's small white flowers are bloomed downwards, extending the inflorescences from the branches. The corolla is a cup shape and its tip is split at 5 points. After flowering, it will be scattered in about a week. A lot of small fruits are formed after the flowers, and the flowers do not fall down until the flowers come out again the following year. Flower name is like a white cloud blossoming in bloom to a white cloud which flew in the sky. Egonoki belonging to the same flower family (Python, scientific name: Styrax japonica). Egonoki (S. japonica) is also called Jisha. How to distinguish between leaves is larger in S. obassia than in Egonoki. Leaf shape, Hakuunboku(S. obassia) is rounded, Egonoki (S. japonica) is slender. Flower pattern, Hakuunboku (S. obassia) is short, Egonoki (S. japonica) is long. Applications are garden trees, park trees, street trees, materials to be rolled.
