What is Fagus crenata

Fagus crenata or Japanese Beech (Scientific name: Fagus crenata) is a Japanese unique species and is a deciduous broad-leaved trees in the beech family Fagaceae. It grows naturally in Hokkaido in Japan ~ Mountains in Kyushu. In December we will expand leaves and flower flowering at the same time. It is a herringbone. In spring, male flowers bring out a caterpillar inflorescence from flower pattern and about 15 male flowers bloom. Female flowers place two head flowers, upward, on the tip of the floral pattern that emerges from the axil of the branch.
