🌼Pomegranate's Poem : “Crimson Fruit and the Tools of Civilization”

A pomegranate tree stands in the garden.
The fruit, split open with a “crack,”
looks like tiny teeth peeking from the corners of a smirking face—
somehow mysterious.

When you crush its deep crimson flesh,
it becomes “red juice of life” containing phytoestrogens—
long considered a woman’s ally.
There’s even a legend that it’s good for beauty and skin regeneration,
so I find myself desperately trying to squeeze it out.

But the flesh clings to the seeds,
and I simply can’t strain it with just a colander and cotton swabs.
All that comes out is not red juice,
but the sweat of frustration beading on my forehead.

Come to think of it—
perhaps the only tool capable of standing face-to-face with this ancient symbol
was the “juicer,” a marvel of modern civilization.

When the pomegranate split open,
tiny red jewels spilled out.
“Why do you hold so many seeds?” asked the wind.
The pomegranate replied:
“It’s because when someone’s heart closes,

The wind carried one seed away,
and gently delivered it to someone’s heart, somewhere.
