Cerinthe major (Scientific name: Cerinthe major) is native to the Mediterranean coast, and is a cold-resistant annual grass of the family Boraginaceae. In the spring, the bract and the flower tube part are bluish purple and the flowers are blooming downward. The types, purpurascens (scientific name: Cerinthe major 'purpurascens') is the entire bracts and the tube is bloom blue-violet flowers. Yellow candy (scientific name: Cerinthe major 'Yellow Candy') blooms purple and yellow of the two-tone color is distribution doing.
