Asarum aspera

Asarum aspera or commonly called as Miyako Kan-aoi (scientific name: Asarum aspera) is a varieties of "Kanaoi (Scientific name: Asarum)" which is an evergreen perennial of the family Aristolochiaceae. It grows naturally in the forest of mountain of West Japan to Shikoku. The leaves are green and spotted and there is no gloss as hair grows. Flower (calyx) is necked at the top and spreads 3 and spreads. The inside of the flower (calyx) is purple, and it becomes a lattice shape by vertical and horizontal ridge lines.
