What is Corns secica

Corns secica, commonly called Eurasian dwarf , cornel or bunchberry , Ezo Gozen Tachibana (scientific name: Cornus suecica) is an evergreen perennial plant in the family Cornaceae , which is native to Hokkaido.
The rhizome grows and breeds in the ground. Leaves are oval to oblong and cross-shaped in several stages.
A rhizome extends to the underground and spreads.
It attachs the leaves to some steps for the cross vs. with a long oval from ovoid.
There seems to be a black stamen in four pieces of white petals.
However, the white ones are actually bracts and the small black ones in the center are flowers.Fruits ripen red after the flowers.
