What is Keio-zakura

Keio-zakura , scientific name: Cerasus 'Keio-zakura', is a cultivar of a small deciduous shrub of the cherry tree genus Rosaceae, which was developed by grafting a kohigan-zakura onto a shina-mizakura rootstock. It blooms before the leaves open. The name was given to Mr. Keitaro Yoshinaga of Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, who created it.
