What is Begonia pearcei

Begonia pearcei (scientific name: Begonia x tuberhybrida cv. pearcei) is a variety of non-cold-resistant evergreen perennial (bulb) "bulbous begonia" of the family Begoniaceae. The place of origin is Bolivia. Leaves are dark green with velvety texture and veins that stand out. The flower is a small leaf bright yellow with a unique yellow flower in the seed. It is a wild type that became the basis of today's yellow garden cultivar as a breeding parent of bulbous begonia.
