What is Trillium camschatcense

Trillium camschatcense (scientific name: Trillium camschatcense) is a perennial herb of the Merianchiaceae, native to Japan-Yuta and Siberia. In Japan, it inhabits Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu's plains and lowland to sub-alpine wetlands. Three broad egg-shaped leaves grow on the top of the stem. In early summer, white three-petaled flowers come on the stem top. There is one ovary in the middle of the flower, surrounded by six stamens. The genus name "Trillium" is based on the fact that there are 3 flowers, 3 buds and 3 leaves. In the same genus, there is a petal-less {{Trillium smalli}} scientific name: Trillium smallii).
