What is Bistorta japonica

Bistorta japonica (scientific name:Bistorta officinalis subsp. japonica) is a perennial herb of Polygonaceae the family, of the genus Bistortanative to Japan. It grows a lot wild in Ibukiyama and lets a white blossom bloom in the raceme which lengthened from a flower stalk. The rhizome is called Jin Ken (a fist comes) and is considered to be antibacteria and an antitussive medicinal herb. From the flower looks like a tiger's tail that was named master. Looks like a white 5 petaled flower 5 deep-lobed calyx and no petals.Rhizomes are called security slot (fist 3), antibiotic or antitussive herbs.
