Astilbe microspylla or Chidakesashi (Scientific name: Astilbe microphylla) is a Japanese perennial of the family Saxifragaceae. In the summer, flowers like millets will bloom in a conical inflorescence in wetlands. Flowers are light pink to white flowers and anthers are pink purple. Flower name was attached because it brought home a stinky (milk mushroom) which becomes edible to a hard long stem. Leaves are attached 2 to 4 times odd feathered compound leaves, leaflets are small egg shapes with no gloss, and there are saw teeth on the leaf edge. The same group has {{Astilbe}}.
