This variety has deep pink, semi-double to peony-like flowers with small central petals that stand up, medium-sized flowers that bloom from November to January, and belongs to the Kantsubaki group. It is often used as a garden plant and is well-suited for hedges due to its strong tolerance for pruning. It is believed to be a natural seedling of the "Shishigashira" camellia.
