What is Syuso

Syuso (scientific name: Camellia 'Syuso') is a variety that originated from a natural seedling of unknown parentage in Niigata City. The flesh of the flower is thick and glossy. Named by Jiro Kamiyama in 1978.
Flower color: white to pale yellow with a reddish tinge; Flower diameter: large; Flower size: 10-13 cm; Flowering style: double flower + lotus flower; Flowering season: spring, March - April.
Height: ~3 m; Form: erect, strong; Leaf shape: oblong-oval, large, flat, semi-curved, thin.
