What is Chrysanthemum 1000 Blossoms
Chrysanthemum 1,000-flowering is one of the methods of tailoring chrysanthemums, in which side branches of a single chrysanthemum (scientific name: Chrysanthemum morifolium) are increased to achieve 1,000 flowers all together. This is a unique Japanese way of growing chrysanthemums.
It's varieties include the yellow-flowered "Ki no Matsuyama" and "Susono no Kagayaki", the white-flowered "Susono no Tsuki" and "Kenroku Seppou", and the reddish-purple "Momijigari".
"Ki no Matsuyama", "Susono no Kagayaki", and "Susono no Tsuki" have about 565 flowers and Kenroku Seppo has about 196 flowers.
However, it takes a lot of hard work to produce this many flowers from a single tree.
