Coriaria (scientific name: Coriaria japonica) is native to Japan etc., and is a toxic deciduous shrub of the family Coriariaceae. The leaves have a pointed oval shape and grow on the stem. It is a male and female strain and blooms yellow to green flowers on sunny riverbanks, cliffs and wasteland in early summer. There are 5 pistils in female flowers and 10 stamen in male flowers.
