It is a cross between red flowering gum (Corymbia ficifolia) and pink-flowering bloodwood (Corymbia ptychocarpa). The flowers are red and the height is up to 5 m. It is a hybrid of Corymbia ptychocarpa and Corymbia ptychocarpa.
